The masterpiece Flowering Plum Orchard (after Hiroshige) by Van Gogh perfectly connects the Japanese company Sakura, celebrating its 100th anniversary, with Van Gogh, who was influenced by Japanese themes and prints. Van Gogh created three paintings based on Japanese prints from his personal collection, practicing the use of colour and the style of Japanese woodblock prints. The 4 selected colours in this set are inspired by the color palette of these specific Van Gogh works and are popular for writing and illustration.
