Orange Shellac in Scales: A natural organic resin, used as a substrate for gold leaf during gilding and for the final varnishing of paintings to stabilize the colours.

• Orange Shellac (A darker shade than yellow shellac)
• Contains wax
• It can be diluted in a solution of at least 95% ethanol
• Recommended mixing ratio: 250 grams of gum lac in 1 liter of ethanol
• After 24 hours, the solution will be fully absorbed
• It is recommended to filter the solution before use
• The shellac solution can be stored for months in a closed container. It is recommended to filter it before each use.
• Store the shellac in a dry, cool place inside its container, away from exposure to sunlight or heat.
